Privacy Policy

Effective Date: January 1, 2025 Last Updated: May 12, 2026 CSLB #1154799

Your privacy matters to us. RCK Development ("Company," "we," "our," or "us") is committed to protecting the personal information you share with us. This Privacy Policy explains what data we collect through rckdevelopment.com, how we use it, and the choices you have. By using our website or contacting us for services, you agree to the practices described here. If you do not agree, please do not use our website.

01

Overview

RCK Development is a licensed general contractor serving residential homeowners throughout the San Francisco Bay Area. Our website is an informational and lead-generation site — we do not sell products online, and we do not operate a user-account system. The personal information we collect is limited to what you voluntarily provide when requesting an estimate, calling our office, or emailing us directly.

We do not sell your personal information to third parties. We do not use your information for targeted advertising. Your data is used solely to respond to your inquiry and, where applicable, to coordinate your construction project.

02

Information We Collect

We collect information in two ways: information you provide directly to us, and information collected automatically when you visit our website.

Information you provide directly:

  • Contact & estimate form: Full name, phone number, email address, city, project type, approximate budget, and a description of your project.
  • Phone calls & emails: When you call (408) 982-7586 or email therckdevelopment@gmail.com, we may retain records of those communications.
  • Project intake: If you proceed with a project, we may collect your property address, permit-related details, and other information necessary to plan and execute construction work.

Information collected automatically:

  • Usage data: IP address, browser type and version, operating system, referring URL, pages visited, and time spent on the site.
  • Device identifiers: General device type and screen resolution for analytics purposes.
  • Cookies and similar technologies: As described in Section 5 below.

We do not knowingly collect sensitive personal information such as Social Security numbers, financial account numbers, payment card details, health data, or biometric identifiers through our website.

03

How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect for the following purposes:

  • Respond to your inquiry. We use your contact information to reply to estimate requests, schedule consultations, and answer questions about our services.
  • Provide and coordinate construction services. For clients who engage us for a project, we use your information to plan work, pull permits, coordinate with subcontractors, and communicate throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Improve our website. We use aggregated, anonymous analytics data to understand how visitors use our site and to improve its content and performance.
  • Legal compliance. We may retain and use your information as required by California law, including contractor licensing regulations administered by the CSLB, and to defend against legal claims.
  • Business communications. With your consent, we may follow up on an estimate or send information about completed project phases. We will not send unsolicited marketing messages.

We will only use your information for the purpose for which it was collected, or for a closely related purpose consistent with your reasonable expectations.

04

Sharing & Disclosure

We do not sell or rent your personal information. We may share your information only in the limited circumstances described below:

  • Service providers. We work with trusted third-party vendors (such as our website hosting provider, email platform, and analytics service) who process data on our behalf under contractual agreements that prohibit them from using your data for any purpose other than providing their service to us.
  • Subcontractors. Where your project requires trade work (e.g., electrical, structural engineering), we may share relevant project details — not your personal contact information — on a need-to-know basis.
  • Legal requirements. We may disclose your information if required to do so by law, subpoena, court order, or to cooperate with a government investigation. We may also disclose information to protect the rights, property, or safety of RCK Development, our clients, or others.
  • Business transfers. In the unlikely event of a merger, acquisition, or sale of substantially all of our business assets, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction. We will notify you via email or a prominent notice on our website if your data becomes subject to a different privacy policy.
  • With your consent. We may share information for any other purpose with your explicit prior consent.

We never sell, lease, or exchange your personal information to data brokers, advertisers, or other third parties for marketing purposes.

  • Active and completed projects: Project records, including client contact information, are retained for a minimum of 7 years after project completion to comply with California contractor licensing requirements and applicable statutes of limitations.
